| Itâs true. The internet and e-commerce marketing has proven to be one of the most profitable and easy markets to infiltrate of all time. Itâs a fact that no matter where you live, what language you speak or how old you are you too can profit from the biggest technology revolution ever. And the amazing thing is that you can do all this without office premises or the expenses that go hand in hand with that. You can sell your own product or, even better, you can sell someone elseâs products. All you have to do is open up a shop online and youâre in business.
By linking to the internet you have the capacity to communicate with every other person in the world who owns a computer. All for the cost of a local phone call.
And best of all, itâs open for business whether youâre awake or asleep. 24 hours a day you have your little salesman promoting your products and services to unlimited potential customers.
And the most incredible thing is you can sell almost anything on the internet.
But the most amazing thing is that your market is one of the best markets in the world. The typical internet user has money and lots of it. After all, they have a computer, they have a modem, they have a phone and more often than not they have a credit card to pay their monthly internet connection.
Let me tell you a bit about the "typical" internet user.
- 35-55 years old
- earns $78,000 per year
- 87% have 4 or more years of college
- 90% are male
The number of people on the net is doubling every year. Small businesses can compete with the real players on an even footing. How can they do that? Because none of your customers will be able to tell whether you work from a home office or from a fancy corporate office simply by looking at your website and the products and services you offer.
Here are a few rules if you want to truly succeed online:
(1) Pick projects that can put $1000 or more a day back in your pocket with little effort. Be firm with yourself and religiously say "no" to products that you have to sell thousands of to make a decent living.
(2) Your product must appeal to people so much that they will respond to any ad that advertises it.
(3) Your product has to have such a high perceived value that people will gladly pay any price they can get it for (seller beware â watch out for products that you have the rights to sell that people can pick up free from somebody else).
(4) Your product has to appeal to people who have the money to buy it now.
(5) Your product must give you a high return on investment (low costs to produce).
(6) Your customers must be so happy with your product and your customer service that theyâll want to order from you again and again in the future.
As with any new business opportunity, the only way you will make money from it is to actually start doing something and doing it today.
If you want your tomorrow to be different than your today then do something different tomorrow to make it so.
